The aim of the qualification is to contribute to the skills, knowledge and overall performance of Management and Leadership. Its purpose is to provide insight into the principles and processes of Management and Leadership and to aid career progression. This qualification is designed for those who are entering a management role, or who wish to gain a qualification that formally recognises their skills or those who lead a team and are responsible for its performance. The standards cover aspects of work which have increased in importance in recent years, such as leadership style, planning allocating and monitoring the work of a team, customer service, knowledge management, procurement and managing redundancy.
How long is the course?
How is the course delivered?
You will be assigned a personal tutor who will plan an individual learning programme with you. This will be based around regular monthly tutorials in the workplace, workshops and if appropriate some online learning.
What are the entry requirements for the course?
You should be aged 16 or over and be working or applying to work with a company that has agreed to offer this recognised Apprenticeship programme.
There are no minimum academic or vocational qualifications required but a good general standard of education is beneficial.
What could I do after this course?
Depending on your circumstances you may wish to progress on to an Advanced Customer Service course or consider an Advanced Leadership & Management course.
