This qualification is designed for learners who work in the Security sector. The course covers a range of areas within Security services, including door supervision, CCTV operation and working as a security officer. Transferable skills are also developed, including effective communication, customer service, the ability to contribute to meetings, problem solving and effective leadership. There are four pathways for the learner to choose from, a general pathway and three specific pathways; Static and Patrol Guarding, Door Supervision and CCTV operation.

How is the course delivered?
You will be assigned a personal tutor who will plan an individual learning programme with you. This will be based around regular monthly tutorials in the workplace, workshops and if appropriate some online learning.
What are the entry requirements for the course?
You should be aged 16 or over and be working or applying to work with a company that has agreed to offer this recognised Apprenticeship programme. There are no minimum academic or vocational qualifications required but a good general standard of education is beneficial.
What could I do after this course?
Depending on your circumstances you may wish to progress on to an Advanced Facilities Management or consider an advanced Leadership and Management course.
Apprenticeship Levy paying companies can use their levy to cover the full cost of training. Companies who do not pay the Apprenticeship Levy will contribute 5% of the full value of the programme, the balance (95%) is contributed by the government. Contact us to confirm the value.
